Olive Harvest

We had our best olive harvest this year. A few weeks again Mum and I harvested some of our olives. We had so many of them.  If you have never tried a raw olive straight from the tree before they are quite disgusting! After they have been in salty brine for quite a few months they start to taste more eatable.

We only have the one olive tree and we were give so much - God is so generous!....

...It makes me think of the Psalm..
"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper." (Psalm 1:1-3)

A small portion of the olives we harvested
Mandy and the trunk of the olive tree.

"Then the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth." (Genesis 8:11)
